Mitchell Ronald Mosley
January 24, 1952   -   February 03 , 2015

Obituary posted by : Michele Robinson ,  Daughter
Person Description:
Mitchell Ronald Mosley was the only child born to Ida B. Davis and Moses Mosley (preceded him in death) on January 24, 1952 in Chicago, Illinois.

Mitch attended Willard Elementary School and Du Sable High School in Chicago. During high school, Mitch was a member of the varsity basketball team from his freshman year until he graduated in 1971. He went on to attend Kennedy King College in Chicago and Elkins Institute of Technology in Dallas, Texas. While at Kennedy King, he was also on the starting lineup of the basketball team.

Mitch was a phenomenal basketball player to say the least. He outscored most of his opponents and was a forced to be reckoned with once he had a basketball in his hands which earned him the nickname “Rock”. With so many accolades, awards and honorable mentions afforded to Mitch, he still remained humbled, never forgetting to give God glory and honor for all of the blessings that came his way.

Mitch confessed his hope in Christ and was baptized at Apostolic Church of God in Chicago under the pastorate of the late Bishop Arthur M. Brazier. He often spoke of how that moment changed his life. Through all of his life’s journeys, he seldom complained about the trials that came his way. He remained grateful through it all.

During the course of Mitch’s life, he was joined in holy matrimony to Dale R. McAdory (Brown), to which one child was born; Michele. Mitched worked in rail and transportation. At the time of his transition, he drove for Megabus Company. Mitch was a loving and devoted father and was very proud of his children and grandchildren; he loved them dearly.
