Kevin Cantor
October 6, 1990   -   August 14 , 2014

Obituary posted by : Katherine Cantor ,  Mother
Person Description:
Kevin Eric Cantor died after a battle with brain cancer peacefully in Montoloking, NJ on August 14, 2014. He was 23 years old.
Kevin is survived by his fiance, parents, paternal and maternal grandmother, uncle, aunt and six cousins. He is also survived by his goddaughter and godson.
Kevin had many passions that included baseball, firefighting and volunteering. Kevin traveled in high school playing on baseball farm leagues as a relief pitches with hopes of turning pro until he tore his rotator cuff. He gave up the high school experience to make his dream come true. After his injury, he was a volunteer fireman for two years while going to college. He completed college at NYU in less than three years and was accepted into Columbia\'s medical student where he excelled. He was always one to help a friend or total stranger out, whether it was doing something for them or by putting a smile on their face. His family knew his decision going into medicine was perfect for him. Before he passed, he had decided on his specialty-- Pediatric Oncology. It was a special person like Kevin that could handle a hard job like that.
Kevin was accomplished at any task he put his mind to. He was a great fisherman, avid swimmer, and loved to travel. He was dedicated to the Boys and Girls Club and has a little brother, Marcus.
Kevin will always be known as a caring, humorous and intelligent being. He fought a hard battle and never gave up nor complained.
The memorial service will be held privately on the Cantor Estate. He has donated his body to medicine, a passion of his.
In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to your local Boys and Girls Club.
