The wood is a smooth surfaced, satin finished wood, and makes a beautiful background for the praying hands, as well as a brass plate. A brass plate is included for you to have engraved. Measures 10.2" x 9.2" x 9.8" urn, and is 400 cubic inches and can be used as a single or companion urn. Any trophy shop or sign shop can offer engraving services to you for memorialization.
